  • Moving on

I have been reading a lot of fun decorating blogs and I want to get started marketing myself a little more so I am moving on to blogspot (which my cousins tried to get me to do years a go but for some reason I couldn't figure it out). So with newfound industry and intelligence (I suppose) I am moving to sweetbunnyadventures.blogspot.com. I still intend on checking up on my xanga friends as usual, but will be doing my writing there. Hope to see you!

I think I forgot to rinse out my conditioner, my hair feels so gross.

Went to 3 garage sales. Got some cut books for Jaren and a top for Becca. Can't resist the girl clothes! I need to check for more closer to me. These were in Eaton (20 mins away) so we went to Walmart as well. I was looking forward to getting a watermelon for Jaren to try. So we watches me cut it and everything then he hands it back to me with his tongue sticking out. At least he doesn't throw it on the floor anymore. But who doesn't like watermelon?! He really surprises me about food.

Is so sunny and great out today. I think Cassandra and I will be going out to check on the garden this afternoon. I'm taking a pic of it every time we go out there and making one of those time-lapse videos.

Time to go spray-paint my new gardening cabinet! ($5 )

  • Yea, gas

Yes this is what I have to write about after so long.

I waited in line for, well about 6-7 mins for gas today. All the other places were nearing $4 and SamsClub had it for $3.62. So yes there was a line.

So today I drove the speed limit, coasted, and charged the on-ramp at a slower pace.

Maybe sometime I will write about all the other lovely places I am going online and not posting. There are new pics on facebook, though :)

One of the sites is www.thepioneerwoman.com

I hope spring is finally here to stay.

    Trying to do better...

    Your estimated greenhouse gas emissions
are 54 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2)
    equivalent per year,
which is below the U.S. national average.

Emissions Comparison Tons of CO2 eq/year

54 Your Estimated Emissions (3 person household) - (most was home energy)

80 United States Average (3 person household) - (we don't drive and fly as much as others)

17 World Average (3 person household)

So we could do better if we unplugged more and finished putting in the new light bulbs. We will not give up eating meat, but I am going to try to grow our own veggies and compost. We also walk around town whenever possible, mostly to church. It's only three blocks.

Here are Becca and Jaren being excited about starting a garden.

  • Finally!

Kelly brought this up and now I feel like I can talk about it too!

    So this was my response.

I just want to say that I am proud of you for bringing up the subject! this has been on my mind for awhile and was addressed at our church a few weeks ago. It is right for us to challenge each other (christians) with what we know is right and true from the word.

    Ephesians 4:30 says
Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Is what we are watching grieving the Holy Spirit in us? I know it almost sounds rediculous for me to remark that watching Oprah, The View, or sometimes even RachelRay can be grieving God's Spirit (those are shows I deal with during the day). But our culture is so far away from God I don't know how much longer we can let ourselves be exposed to whatever they decide to put on TV.

How hard will you fight against the flesh?

    Ephesians 12:1-4
Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
    You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin;

Jesus fought the flesh so hard that he hemorraged and shed blood. I think we can turn off the TV.
